“Fear can sometimes be a useful emotion. For instance, let's say you're an astronaut on the moon and you fear that your partner has been turned into Dracula. The next time he goes out for the moon pieces, wham!, you just slam the door behind him and blast off. He might call you on the radio and say he's not Dracula, but you just say, "Think again, bat man."” -Jack Handy

Likes I love art, wood, making art, fiber arts, painting, drawing. I adore coffee more than just about anything in the world. I love trees, scenic vistas, clear cool days - tepid, clear nights with the stars clinging around me.

    Yeasayer

Sunday, June 29, 2008, 11:26 AM EST [General]

Some music is glorious, and I love glorious music. However, some music transcends all boudaries of gloriousness into transcendent celebratory bliss! Here's a song that nails it in every single way I can think of.

    2080 by Yeasayer

    Sublime!

Here's another Yeasayer song that I really love; "Wait for the Summer"

Both of these songs have a decidedly First Nation impression about them - gorgeous. I would say Native American, but that doesn't quite hit the feeling the songs posess.

Yeasayer are from Brooklyn. Here's a link to their page. http://www.myspace.com/yeasayer

I'd know none of this if it weren't for Mr. Chicoryflower. He's just genius with finding neat music on the internet. He's just now introduced me to another group; Fleet Foxes. Says they're similar genre-wise. I've heard one song that's just lovely.

    Experts

Friday, June 27, 2008, 06:18 PM EST [General]

"I do not like experts. They are our jailers. I despise experts more than anyone on earth...They solve nothing! They are servants of whatever system hires them. They perpetuate it. When we are tortured, we shall be tortured by experts. When we are hanged, experts will hang us...When the world is destroyed, it will be destroyed not by its madmen but by the sanity of its experts and the superior ignorance of its bureaucrats."

Many blessings. I think we deserve an apology from NBC.

The EMAIL ADDRESS FOR THE TODAY SHOW ON NBC:

    today@nbc.com

Please contact them and let them know that broadcasted religious intolerance is not acceptable. NBC is allowing bigotry and hate speech to be aired in the name of this out-of-touch Christian fundamentalist selling a few CDs.

This is a great opportunity to get Today and NBC to recognize our numbers and maybe to allow them to see that pandering to the Christian conservative quarters in our country is NOT where it is at!

I'll be emailing them every half hour until an apology is issued on their website and network. Please feel free to post this on your page with or without credits. Just want to get the word out.

Covenspace has 12,000 plus members. Please, let's send them a nice, loud message about this!!

    *Hiho* Pagans!
